Community Bible Camp 2017

Community Bible Camp is a VBS collaboration between three Elk River area churches seeking to build God’s kingdom outside the 4 walls of the church. It’s a FREE 5-day adventure where kids create, play games, worship and encounter God!

Join us July 9-13, 2017 from 6-8:45 pm in Lions Park in Elk River. Kids ages 4 (by June 1st, 2017) – grade 5 (completed 2017) are invited to participate in Go Fish Victory, which follows the stories of God being victorious throughout history, and winning the ultimate victory through Jesus! Invite your friends. All are welcome. We can’t wait to see you there!

Volunteer

We need your help for another fantastic year!

We need help in the following areas: Security, Small Group Leaders, Childcare, Snacks, Crafts, Games, Storytelling, set-up. No matter your skill or ability, together we can make a difference at CBC 2017. Signup to volunteer by clicking the link above.

Volunteer training sessions are June X, 6:30-8pm, & June X, 10am-12pm. Training will be at Central Lutheran Church. Volunteers must attend one training. Childcare is available upon request at each training.

Weather

Rain. Excessive Heat. Severe Weather. What’s our plan?

Follow us on Twitter for weather updates! @cbcelkriverarea

If we experience rainy weather, we hold events indoors at Central Lutheran Church, 1103 School St (right across the Parking Lot from Lions Park).

If the weather changes, some activities MAY be held outside.

If severe weather moves in, we will be relocating the group to VandenBerge Middle School. Parents will be allowed to pick-up once the “all clear” is given.

What they said...

  • I just want to praise you and tell you how much I love this Bible Camp. My kids are loving it and learning life lessons. The community is extremely blessed to have such an amazing program to offer our children!!

    - Mallory
  • "The one thing I was impressed with was the security at the event, but you do not sense their presence on top of us. I think this made me feel safe and also my kids can feel they are in a safe environment."

    - Jenny
  • "My daughter is having an absolutely wonderful time at CBC this week. She comes home just full of smiles each night. She loves the music - says 'They play the best music mom!' we're a KTIS family so she's loving that it's God honoring music. She has been so proud to show off her CRAFT projects each night: the backpack, the drum and the decorated rock."

    -Laura
  • "Thank you to the CBC Leadership Team for WELL PLANNING in the safety department and thank you to the safety volunteers for keeping watchful eyes...God is looking down from above and is blessing this entire event...every bit of it."

Partner Churches

CBC was created in 2013 out of the dreams of area church leaders to take the love of God out into the Elk River community, instead of making just another in-house program. While many churches in the area still run in-house VBS programs on their own, the churches that participate in CBC are pioneering denominational collaboration and building the kingdom of God together. It’s not about only one church. It’s about God’s Church. Volunteers over the years have been from all different places, and have all different Christian faiths. Regardless of their practices and traditions, these churches are working together with the hope that God would be real and living in the Elk River area, starting in the lives of our kids.

If you would like your church to join this movement, please send us a message using the “Get In Touch” form below. We’d love to add you to the kingdom building team!
